Calling all talented photographers to show that you care...

As part of the York 800 celebrations the Joseph Rowntree Foundation is launching a photography competition to recognise York as a city that cares. They’re looking for photos taken in and around the city that show how the freedom of York can be used to ensure that citizens thrive because of the kindness of others.

The brief is broad, so pictures could show volunteers caring for individuals, their community, the environment, or maybe even caring as part of a job.

The competition is open to all ages and abilities. There are 2 categories under 18 and over 18, winners from both categories will receive an iPad3
