All day entertainment at York Knavesmire Tue 19 June
Starting with The Sporting Giants' Games at Bustardthorpe from 11am, York Primary Schools will battle it out in their own Olympic Games.
At 2pm you will be able to try out a new sport on the Knavesmire at our fantastic taster session extravaganza.
And as if that isn't enough! You can cheer on the Olympic Torch as it enters York. Starting from York College at 5.23pm the torch will be working its way around the city before heading up to the Knavesmire where there will be a free evening of entertainment.
Events kick off at 5pm with a host of singing, dance and entertainment acts to celebrate the arrival of the torch at 6.50pm. Your evening will include entertainment from Singer/song writer Katy B, dance sensations Twist & Pulse and African Drumming and gospel choir Zamar. The evening will also be MC'd by former Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere - You'd be mad to miss it!
