Yorks Lost Symbols: A Discovery Trail
Sun 7 April, 1.30pm to 3.30pm starting at York Explore, Library Square.
Join our small group on a trail of discovery as we set forth to uncover the lost stories behind the carvings, figures and symbols on the streets of the ancient city of York.
This guided walk reveals a wealth of tales seldom told, of myth, of legend, of good and evil. In the traces they have left behind we glimpse the lives of the people of this teeming city from the ancients to the present.
We will all meet in the Garden Room at Explore York Library to enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee with a delicious slice of cake. This will give everyone a chance to meet each other and for the tutor to give a quick briefing. The walk will then start and end at York Explore.
